FAQs

Campers will be placed in a small group with children in the same grade as them. The day is broken up into three scheduled activity periods in the morning. One of these will be a swimming period, After lunch, they will attend club, have a snack break, and finish off the afternoon with their daily elective. During a two week session, campers will have the opportunity to attend every program are with their group as a scheduled activity. Please note that the schedule is slightly different for campers entering Kindergarten.

The ERDC staff is made up of teachers, parents, college & high school students ages 16 and up. All staff are thoroughly screened, including an interview, references and background checks. We have pre-camp virtual training as well as mandatory pre-camp training.

ERDC provides lunch and an afternoon snack to all campers. The lunch menu varies, but will be shared with parents in advance of their first day of camp for proper planning. We offer vegetarian and gluten free options daily. If you choose to send lunch for your child, please be aware that we are a NUT FREE CAMP.

Yes! The ERDC nurse, along with other members of the administration and select counselors, are trained to administer emergency medications such as Epi-pens and Inhalers. We just ask for an additional form, completed by a parent and doctor. In addition, the nurse can administer over the counter medications such as Tylenol & Bacitracin as needed. The over-the- counter medications are provided by ERDC and do not require additional paperwork from your camper’s doctor. If your camper requires an over-the- counter medication which is not stocked by ERDC, additional forms are required by the State of CT.

Yes! We post photos daily. Enrolled families will be sent a link and password for access before their camper’s first day. Please note that our photographer will take as many photos as possible at camp each day. While we try to take a variety of shots, not every camper will necessarily be in a photo each day.
